Lloydwerft a commercial ship builder in Bremerhaven, Germany, has now launched a 115 meter explorer/expedition yacht called LUNA. Superyacht LUNA was jointly built by the Lloydwerft and Stahlbau Nord Shipyards and is the second largest private yacht launched in 2009, after ECLIPSE.
At 115 metres, she is a very large and impressive private yacht which will be used for long range expedition cruising in some of the world’s most beautiful and remote areas. As a large and recent explorer style yacht she is capable of operating remote from support for extended periods as well as housing various peripheral yachting equipments, to be detaled.
Much remains unknown about the new mega yacht M/Y LUNA hull, except she is number 111 for Lloydwerft and she was commissioned by a well known yacht owner. This yacht owner also owns several other large motor yachts.
Luxury expedition yacht LUNA will be formally delivered to her owner between late 2009 and early 2010, after the completion of her sea trials and final outfitting.
