The luxury yacht Domani is the third project in which the owner put its trust in Benetti’s building experience, sign of faith that is based on a fundamental and esteemed relationship that, over time, has become more enduring thanks in part to the boatyard’s ability to give the best-possible interpretation to its customers’ requirements and to provide effective support both during construction of the yacht and after its launch and delivery.

The interior designer was asked to study, adapt, and, in certain cases, redesign the spaces and the concept adopted earlier for the Benetti Custom in order to recreate a set of living solutions on board the Classic 121 superyacht Domani that were inspired by custom megayachts.

For example, the usual pantry was modified by creating an additional space adjacent to the main saloon, where a dinette was inserted in order to enable the owner and family members to sit down or move freely. Similarly, the upper deck was elongated toward the stern in order to provide the area with greater liveability.

In addition, the control deck offers solutions inspired by grand yachts, and the commander’s cabin, normally situated on the lower deck together with the crew, has been located on the upper deck, adjacent to the bridge console.

Benetti Domani yacht is designed for family use as well as for charters. The on-board atmosphere is the same in both the owner’s area and the service area, which is also available for use at times by the owner or his or her family. Similarly, the decor found in the saloons, cabins, main service areas, and even crew mess features the same materials.

A decor that has been meticulously designed down to the last detail, from the frames and the ceiling lights to the subtle interplays between wood, steel, and marble in the lobby. In addition, the harmonious detailing of the spaces, which are typical of steel mega-yachts, can be found thoughtfully reinterpreted on the interiors of this nearly 37-metre yacht.

The perfect agreement with the owner has made it possible for Benetti to obtain an equilibrium, amongst all of the compositive elements.

The interiors are characterized by the presence of steel, leather, marble and wood, assembled the ones by the others with an extreme precision. The main element is the Tineo wood, very warm, dark in colour and extremely elegant. In order to create a contrast some small ebony parts have been combined to the Tineo wood. This wood essence is mainly everywhere, also in the crew area, extremely important for the ship owner and highlights the harmony of the overall interior design. There is a massive essence of the wood also inside the bathrooms, both on the floor and the bath tops and the alternance between the light colour and the dark one has been maintained, in order to create an intricate effect.

The light leather instead can be found nearby some rear-painted crystals, and it gives a sense of depth to the area although there are no mirrors.

Another furniture element is the grillage effect of the doors , created by overlapping the Tineo wood on top of mirrors and this gives an interesting effect of transparency and deepness. The illumination has been carefully elaborated, many areas are backlit and this contributes to the relaxing and soft effect.

Benetti is one of the world’s oldest builders of megayachts. Founded in Viareggio in 1873 by Lorenzo Benetti, the shipyard started out building wooden, masted barks for local and international commercial purposes, quickly earning its reputation as an industry leader worldwide.

In 1985, Azimut opened a new chapter in Benetti history. The purchase of the Tuscan boatyard signalled a new era of management and capital investment that has made Benetti what it is today: a modern, cutting-edge shipyard ready to meet the challenges of the future, able to offer its owners the world’s most exclusive and refined yachts.

Since then, Benetti’s growth has outpaced that of any other competitor in the sector; it makes over 130 yachts and specialises in the production of semi-custom ranges from 93 to 145 feet as well as completely custom steel and aluminium megayachts of over 45 metres.

In 2003, the Azimut-Benetti Group S.p.A. took over the Cantieri Navali Fratelli Orlando in Livorno, launching a major industrial plan to create a facility specialised in pleasure boating alongside the revitalisation of an urban area and tourist port.

Since 2004 Benetti has been worldwide considered as the leader in mega yacht production.
