Splinakis Ship Design has designed a new 52.5m motor yacht concept called ‘Natural Evolution’. The 525 MY Natural Evolution yacht concept features a ‘twin-deck owner area forward on the main deck, which the previous 43m design also has. The owner’s area features a private saloon, the size of which could vary between 30 and 40 sqm, depending on whether the owner chooses 1 or 2 dedicated balconies, directly connected to the fore mooring deck. The owner suite on lower level spans an area of more than 40 sqm.

By placing the twin deck owner area at the fore, the crew area is shifted longitudinally more at centre, while the guest cabins are located aft.

For crew, there are 3 double cabins on the Lower deck, 1 cabin on Main deck and Captain Apartment on Upper deck. The crew layout is MLC 2006 complaint.

The guest area is able to accommodate 8 guests in 4 double-bed cabins, each offering more than 20 qm. of space, with comfortable ensuite facilities.

525 MY Natural Evolution concept has a spacious bar, main saloon and dinner area on Main deck that spans 90 sqm.

In accordance with one of Splinakis Ship Designs basic design philosophies, they investigated a solution to offer very large and comfortable open spaces. There is more than 100 sqm on the fly deck which features a Jacuzzi and a large open bar area, around 60 sqm on Main Deck aft, with sofa and dining area, plus an additional 100 sqm on the Upper deck, where an additional covered dining area is located.

The lower level features a large swim platform that enables direct access to the sea and to moor water sport toys while at anchor. The lazzarette is enclosed by large sliding or folding doors that can be used as a beach zone or a garage able to accommodate a 4 m tender and jet skis while underway. Innovative stairs on either side lead to the main deck aft.

There is also space for a larger tender to be accommodated on the foredeck.
The design is based on a Diesel Electrical Propulsion Plant solution. The vessel is propelled by 2 Schottel Twin Propellers, driven by electric motor. For the 52m Natural Evolution Motor Yacht Concept, Splinakis Ship Design opted for a low speed solution, by using two Schottel STP 440 model, which allows the vessel to reach a maximum speed of 14 knots, however, with a small hull lengthening, it would be possible accommodate the larger 550 STP model, which with the tailored propulsion plant would enable the yacht to reach up to 15-16 knots.
