AB Yachts shipyard, the leaders in yacht making especially jet drives, and a part of the Fipa Group, has launched their latest creation AB 116. With their expertise in blending jet dries to high performance crafts with small dimensions, AB yacht summarizes their style concept with the new slender looking hull and smooth, tapering, and winning lines. Moreover, the interior of the yacht has been created so as to provide utmost comfort and luxury along with the high speeds that the jet drives will provide.
The yacht has its main entrance in the aft deck, which opens to a spaciousness saloon. The saloon has its interiors done in natural materials such as wenge and durmast, along with subtle fabrics and leathers. The saloon also features full size windows that not only provide a sense of openness but also allow maximum natural light to enter the yacht.
The main deck of the yacht is designed in a loft style, which contains a large inviting saloon, featuring a wide U-shaped sofa placed opposite to a large 50” TV with a beautiful cabinet. In the forward of the main lounging area, a large dining table can accommodate 10 guests at a time. The main stairs leading to the guest accommodation has a bar beside it. The bar is provided with all the amenities along with a fridge, ice maker and sinks.
The pilothouse is separated from the salon by means of a panel put in the centre of the area. The panel at half the height of the room allows the crew to have a 360° visibility of the exterior from any point on the main deck. At the aft of the guest accommodation is the owner’s cabin with bright interior and a spacious dressing room provided with a large ensuite bathroom. Two additional spacious double guest cabins are located a level below, which also accommodates a comfortable twin cabin. An additional single cabin on the same level can be used as gym or as a guest or staff cabin.
The aft cockpit of the yacht is covered with teak and features a large and wide sunbed, which can also be used as a sofa. On the forward of the deckhouse, a large lounging area provides utmost luxury along with all the entertainment amenities. Moreover, the yacht’s crew quarters also feature three cabins along with bathrooms, a fully accessorized galley, and a small crew mess.
However, what sets the AB 116 apart from other superyachts is her flybridge, which features large sunpads, an al fresco dining area and a steering station for easy maneuvering in port. One more aspect of the superyacht 116 is that it is built using materials borrowed from the aerospace industry. These materials ensure the yacht is light weight and has high strength and solidity.
The propulsion system of 116 is powered by three MTU 16V2000 M93 CR engines, which produces 2400 HP each, along with 3 MJP waterjets that provide the yacht with a maximum speed of 46 knots without any vibrations.
