Lap up the luxury of some of Europe’s most ancient and inspiring sights, under the heat of the sun as it makes the sea sparkle all around you.

With so much on offer, it can be hard to know where to begin. The Adriatic superyacht charter itinerary below should offer some insights and guidance to ensure that a week spent exploring this wonderful region includes beach time, historic sights, fine food and much more.

ADRIATIC SUPERYACHT CHARTER ITINERARY

To guide your next Adriatic charter, Captain Sputh of MY Starfire, a 178′ luxury yacht for charter, gives you his insider’s tips on what to do on an eight day adventure.

Day One: Corfu

Start your tour at the delightful island of Corfu – a famous Greece yacht holiday destination, stopping at Myrtiotissa beach for a morning of pure relaxation, alternating between sunbathing and cooling dips in the sea. For the afternoon, wander a little way up the road to visit the historic Myrtiotissa monastery, stopping for a delicious, homely lunch at the Bella Vista taverna on the way.

Day Two: Ulcinj

From Corfu, head to Montenegro’s southernmost town of Ulcinj, which sits prettily on the water’s edge. With some of the most beautiful beaches in Montenegro, as well as a quaint old town in which to lose yourself in the winding streets, Ulcinj provides a full day of exploration, as well as relaxation time on the sand.

Day Three: Herceg Novi

Further along the coastline, stop off at Herceg Novi, an appealing town to include in any Montenegro yacht charter itinerary, situated at the base of Mount Orjen. Spend the day visiting the cluster of exceptionally pretty beaches reached by boat from Herceg Novi, such as Miriste or Zanjic, or delving into the town itself to take in sights such as the castle Forte Mare, the Kanli tower and the St. Michael Archangel church. At night, head into town for dinner, accessing it via the old town gate in order to admire the clock tower lit up in all its glory.

Day Four: Korcula

From Montenegro, insert Croatia yacht charter in your vacation and head to the small island of Korcula, which makes for beautiful anchorage just off the Dalmatian coast. A day meandering around the quaint town on foot is well worth it and be sure to sample the local seafood, olives and wine to make the most of your day of exploration.

Day Five: Trogir

The lively Croatian town of Trogir makes for the perfect stop after the quiet charm of Korcula. Spend a leisurely morning exploring the many lovely nearby bays, before heading into town for a late lunch of wonderfully fresh seafood at Piccolo Ponte in the old town. The afternoon can be spent visiting a selection of the town’s many palaces, towers and churches, including the town’s most famous building – the church of St Lawrence.

Day Six: Mali Losinj

Continuing with Croatia luxury yacht charter, head to Mali Losinj next, being ready to admire the beautiful view of the town from the water as you approach. Follow the coast until you find the bay of your choice (there is an ample supply to choose from), then spend the day relaxing in the sun and frolicking in the delightfully clear and warm water.

Day Seven: Venice

Finish the week in the wonderfully romantic Italian city of Venice, with its myriad canals, lively shopping scene and original examples of Venetian architecture. At night, enjoy the starlight reflecting off the canals as you dine al fresco at one of the city’s many fine dining establishments, before heading to the opera to end the week in true Italian style.

Day Eight: Venice

Venice is so intoxicating that you must simply stay for another day. Take a tender ride to nearby Murano to admire the gifted glassblowing artist at work. Don’t be surprised if you come back with arms full of glass blown masterpieces. Nothing beats buying a Murano vase in Murano.
