Monaco – 27.06.09 – You have some interesting fact in the latest news relating to the super yacht brokerage market.
While once upon a time the super yachts were considered to be mediums of comfort and relaxation only the concept has changed to day. No more the super yachts are meant for family voyage, entertainment, and on water dinner parties. Many commercial enterprises consider super yachts their best, most comfortable, and safest abode for concluding important business transactions. There are also artists and creators who find them the best place for creative activities. Some of them have even gone to the extent of converting the super yacht in to recording studio or conference hall.
“Medium and small scale enterprises cannot afford the luxury of having a super yacht for such purposes as they are not able to afford the high price normally tagged to the yacht,” commented one of the market experts who deals specifically in yacht transactions.
Good news for such entrepreneurs is that one after another top notch yacht manufacturing companies are reducing the prices of their yacht bringing within the affordability zones of such buyers with lower financial resources. First it was MIT Sea AH by the IYC and Northrop & Johnson and now it is YOC who has come up with similar announcement about the price reduction of their 27.21 meter long DSK.
“The yacht just signed for sale is the 27.21m DSK, launched by Finland’s Nautor yard in 2008 and optimised to race and cruise worldwide. The interior is a fusion of Finnish craftsmanship and modern minimalism, accommodating an owner’s cabin plus three guest suites. DSK’s asking price is €8.95 million and she’s currently lying in Palma de Mallorca” says the Ben Bartlett of CYO. Incidentally, this was the first sale signed by the new division of YCO named YCO Sail headed by Ben Bartlett.
