There has been a regretful announcement from the J Class Association that the 42 metre sailing superyacht Hanuman, built by Dutch yard Royal Huisman, has withdrawn from the Antigua Classic Regatta 2010.

The association also states, that the announcement comes as a great shame, as many followers were looking forward to see the three J Class yachts compete in the Regatta. The three J Class yachts are Hanuman, Velsheda and Ranger, unfortunately only the latter two will compete in the Spirit of Tradition Class, a fleet of around 7 yachts, schooners, yawls and sloops all over 90’ LOA.

Superyacht Hanuman was launched in 2009, being a modern recreation of the Tommy Sopwith “Super-J” class yacht, Endeavour II.

We hope to see ‘Hanuman’ sailing against other Js in future regattas.
