Cummins Onan Marine, the company that specializes in the manufacture and distribution of service engines, fuel systems, controls, air handling and electrical power generation, will be attending this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS).
The company plans to exhibiting their new Cummins Onan QD 6/7.5 kW at the yacht show. The New Onan Marine generator, Cummins Onan QD 6/7.5 kW, delivers 26% more power per unit volume as compared to competitive 6 kW 60 Hz generators and up to 34% more power per unit volume compared to the competitive 4.5 kW 50 Hz generators.
The new marine generator offers more power in a smaller package. This feature facilitates the designers and boat owners to have more space available for other necessities and amenities. As compared to larger competitive 7 kW 50 Hz models in the marketplace, the Cummins Onan 6 kW 50 Hz delivers 24% more power per generator volume. The QD 6/7.5 kW generator derives its quality performance from an electronically governed 4-stroke liquid cooled diesel engine and a Cummins Generator Technology YVB 2- pole belt driven 50C alternator.
The new Cummins Onan Marine QD 6/7.5 generator was originally designed to replace the company’s mechanical generator 5.5 /6.5 kW, by delivering more power in less space. But eventually the product also made a very efficient replacement for larger generators.
