The Barracuda yacht design of 70m is an all aluminium 70 meter motor yacht concept with minimalist styling. The design seeks to ‘claim back’ the look and popularity of well proportioned and less ostentatious yacht which have presented themselves recently. The Barracuda yacht design resists the trend for increasingly large, multi-deck motor yachts.

The luxury motor yacht design has guest accommodation for a total of 8 guests in four cabins on her lower deck – which is moderate for a yacht of this length.

The details:

However, each cabin is very special and can be likened to a fully furnished hotel suite – each with double bathrooms and separate saloon / office area.

Each guest suite is no more than 5 meters away from a spectacular waterside beach area and gymnasium with opening hull doors on either side. This feature enables either direct sunlight or protected shade and a safe bathing platform.

The Barracuda motor yacht design has high performance potential as well as efficiency and low running cost potential.

The design allows a max of 16 crew to be able to access their accommodation areas – and all service and utility areas completely independently.

The luxury yacht’s upper deck layout includes a less formal coffee / dining area and cinema / large screen TV lounge area.

There is also a second external aft deck patio area, with five steps up to a ‘touch and go’ height adjustable helipad.

Finally, the motor yacht’s bridge station and a second galley are located in the forward section of this deck.

At the top of the yacht, the sun deck contains comfortable seating, a plunge pool and plenty of sun bathing space – topped off with a very discreet bimini structure.

The Barracuda 70m motor yacht has a capability which is expected to be in excess of 23 knots from standard twin 6000hp diesel engines.

Its actually nice to see a yacht design which is not reaching for the sky! Love the agressive angle on the bow too. Nice work Barracuda!

I like the almost classic yacht feel – with the straight bow and the balanced asthetics…. The yacht has the right proportion of hull/topsides to super structure, nice motor yacht design. Hope to see her built one day soon!
