Bob Saxon appointed as Chief Executive for Florida Yacht Brokers Association

Florida Yacht Brokers Association have appointed a new Chief Executive. Bob Saxon of Bob Saxon Consultants is the man appointed for the new position, bringing years of experience as a licensed Florida yacht broker to his new position, along with expertise in the fields of yacht management, crew management, new built project management and luxury yacht charter.

“After being a member of FYBA for the past several years, I am excited to have the opportunity to serve this vital organization in a more central role,” Saxon said. “With several critical issues currently facing our membership, including the pending $18,000 boat sales tax cap, which is being considered by the Florida State Legislature this week, I have already hit the ground running.”

Bob Saxon is a well known leader and spokes person for the global yachting industry and prior to joining the FYBA staff he held a series of senior executive and leadership positions in the yachting industry, working with many well known brands. Recently he served as a business yacht management consultant through his firm, Bob Saxon Consultants. In 2002-2008, he was the President of Camper & Nicholson USA after selling his business Bob Saxon Associates. Saxon owned and operated Bob Saxon Associates, a leader in professional yacht management services, for 15 years beginning in 1987. He also has served as President of The Sacks Group Yachting Professionals and Vice President of Whittemore & Williams.

Bob is also the Founding President of the International Superyacht Society (ISS) and currently serves as President during their 20th Anniversary year. An accomplished public speaker, he has addressed the ISS membership and a variety of other groups and associations, including FYBA, on matters related to the yachting industry, and been quoted by a range of leading media, including the New York Times, Yachting, ShowBoats International, The Economist and CNBC, among others.
