From Northrop & Johnson:

There have been several allegations surrounding the events that took place on the evening of July 13, 2009 regarding motor yacht ARIOSO and ESPRESSO III. We would like to put everyone’s minds at ease, by releasing the following statement:

“ARIOSO had been docked since July 9th, 2009 at the Newport Shipyard. The damage caused to ARIOSO while docked, by ESPRESSO III during their docking procedure is completely under control and the resulting repair work per the surveyors and insurance inspectors is strictly superficial and cosmetic. ARIOSO will be back in 100% gleaming condition within the week, and no interruption to the charter schedule is anticipated.”

- Shane Reid, Captain of ARIOSO.

Charter Manager, LJ Houghting, has also personally visited the yacht since the incident and is available for comment should anyone wish to contact her at lhoughting@njyachts.com.
