The latest reports on the Dogus Marina at Didim in Turkey say that it will be completed for April 2009.
The new marina will be able to provide berths for superyachts between The total capacity will be 1100 yachts. Neighbouring Greek islands such as Samos are reportedly confident that this new marina will boost local trade, and will increase tourism in the area.
The marina will feature restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, sport centres, a beach club, heliport, a yacht club, yachting equipment stores, banks and swimming pools. The marina is positioned 41 miles from Samos, which is itself due for a new marina at the five star resort of Halcyon Hills in the future.
