Drainman® under Unimer Marine

Unimer Marine, a well-known Swedish supplier of mooring equipment, has on the 7th of October 2011 signed an agreement to acquire the patents, designs and trademark of Drainman®, an ecofriendly innovation for pleasure craft. Drainman® is a unique Swedish bilge pump for open pleasure craft, powered by the tug of wind and waves on the moorings. It was first introduced on the market in 2009, and has since then become a success internationally, with distributors in Scandinavia, several European countries and the USA. With Drainman® supplementing the mooring compensators, Unimer Marine expands its program of innovative accessories for the pleasure craft market. “Our lines of products make a perfect match”, says Peter Nilsson, former owner of Drainman®, who , with the acquisition, is engaged as General Manager for the marine line of products in Unimer Marine. “We are more than happy with the acquisition of Drainman®, which will strengthen our competitiveness even further,” says Carl Magnus Jönsson, Managing Director and owner of Unimer Plast och Gummi AB, of which Unimer Marine is a part. “Peter Nilsson has successfully introduced Drainman® on the world market, and we are very pleased to have him managing our entire marine branch.”
