Dubai International Boat Show has announced that Trinity Yachts and Westport, two of the worlds most famous yacht builders, have already renewed their support at the 19th edition of the Middle East’s biggest and most anticipated yachting event. To be held from 1 – 5 March 2011 these partnerships are testament to the positive outlook for the show’s exclusive superyacht and luxury sectors.

Centrally located on the Gulf Coast of The United States, Trinity Yachts has earned its place as one of the world’s elite builders of custom superyachts with an emphasis on European quality, steel and aluminium constructions where the goal is to build a truly custom yacht that fulfils all unique cruising desires.

“The Middle East market is key to our business plans, and our participation at the Dubai International Boat Show is at the heart of that. Buyers from this part of the world have a strong loyalty towards Trinity and we look forward to showcasing our latest accomplishments to the heart of the region’s boating industry,” said William S. Smith III, Vice President, Trinity Yachts.

Westport Shipyard was founded in 1964 as a builder of vessels for the North Pacific commercial fishing fleet then added fast passenger ferries to its repertoire. Ultimately, Westport built and delivered more than 200 commercial vessels, instilling in the company a deep respect for the sea and a passion for achieving the level of quality that ocean travel demands.

“Westport visits shows all around the world and it is the organisation and brand that makes the difference. The Dubai International Boat Show is up there with the best. We meet year on year between 25 to 30 serious clients who are interested in our brand and over the next couple of years we will do business with many of them,’’ said Philip Purcell, Vice President, Westport.

Recent studies * have once again concluded that ultra wealthy Middle Eastern buyers are still by far the most dominant when it comes to the purchase of superyachts with 30 out of the top 100 of the world’s largest superyachts belonging to residents in the Middle East region, and in particular the UAE. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq and Egypt are also among the top countries. It is these VIP buyers which Dubai International Boat Show delivers year on year.

Dubai International Boat Show is the only proven international platform in the Middle East that offers direct access to the most lucrative and affluent Middle Eastern buyers. With a proven track record, this multi-award winning event is the only established and trusted luxury yachting show in the region.
