Another high profile yacht to be present at the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show 2010 will be the Soliloquy, the highly popular and innovative concept developed by Alastair Callender. The Soliloguy yacht with an unconventional design and flexible superstructure is built to follow the environment conservation norms. The 58m yacht was designed to have the capacity of holding sails which will be hoisted from the superstructure on its own, facilitating the owner to effortlessly travel in this lustrous design around sun rich waters.

Several people from the yacht industry were extremely spell bound by the striking design of the Super-green superyacht which formerly had made its presence felt in shows like the Monaco Yacht Show. On a progressive note, the beautifully built Soliloquy will be now showcased at the esteemed Abu Dhabi Yacht Show 2010 to be held in the panoramic Yas Marina.

The eco-conscious Masdar City in Abu Dhabi which is soon to be a focal point for all the yachting activities of the world had actually been a great source of encouragement for this 58m eco-cruiser or (also known as) the rigid wing solar sailor. Alastair Callender is extremely excited to see Soliloquy as one of the participating yachts at the show. Callendar, a respected designer plans to mesmerize the crowds at the Abu Dhabi yacht show with his designs display, a notion which has grown from a passion of yacht design and creating a green.

The 58m Soliloguy yacht will be powered by solar, wind and hybrid marine energy by using the technology from the Australian company Solar Sailor Holdings Ltd. which is considered to be highly advanced. Besides this, it ensures cost cutting, zero emissions, minimal noise and vibration by making optimum use of the renewable sources of nature to make the vessel eco-friendly without compromising on the elegant and calm nature of the journey.

Soliloquy has an open plan design when it’s retractable windows slides and shows off a remarkably natural aesthetic when not in use. The reason behind its cruising speed of 8 knots after a days charging is the exterior design which carries 600 sq meters of solar surface coverage. In fact the panels double up as a black gloss finish during the same.

Soliloquy is likely to garner a lot of attention from the yacht enthusiasts at the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show from the 25 – 27th of this February. Meanwhile this revolutionary design has been victorious in earning acknowledgment from reputed global press companies like The New York Times, The Sunday Times and CNN due to its novel design and Solar Sailor Technology.
