Alongside a full Awlgrip repaint in a new color scheme and build up of a new underwater ship ICON Yachts is commissioned to integrate a new black water double bottom storage tank. Further major works include the repair and re-caulking of the teak deck with a light grey color complimenting the new exterior color scheme.
Stemming from excellent pedigree the 1999 build Van Lent yacht is scheduled to arrive shortly and to complete the refit in 5 month focusing to improve the esthetical appeal of the yacht whilst upgrading and servicing all technical systems, such as stabilizers, gearboxes and secondary systems. With the unique facilities of ICON Yachts and the core of the best Dutch yachting suppliers on site or within a few hours’ drive the location is presenting a convincing winner for large superyacht refits.
Stephan Vitus, Head of Project Development explains: “It is the package we offer; from the first inspection on board to the detailed scope we specify and quotations free from build in sinkholes, right up to the enthusiastic team and strict quality control at the yard – that’s what differentiates us and convinces clients to drive their yachts from the Med to Holland, for a Dutch quality refit.”
Some of the most recent refit projects completed at ICON Yachts include the motor yachts charter yacht Seven Sins, motor yacht Rahil, superyacht Slipstream, mega yacht C2 as well as luxury yacht Skat and sailing yacht EOS (the last two were managed by Royal Huisman at the facilities of ICON Yachts).
The shipyard is currently completing the major conversion of the observation lounge to a VIP guest suite on M/Y Meridian. She is scheduled to depart mid October. Further works include the Huisman rigging refit of S/Y Juliet as well as final construction outfitting of a 80 meter Pilot Station Vessel in collaboration with Barkmeijer Shipyards. For the refit activities one further slot is available prior to the arrival of a large completion project.
