Luxury yacht Feelin’ Good is the first SW82 hull built by Southern Wind Shipyard, just launched in the waters of Cape Town. She is designed by the consolidated team of Farr Yacht Design (naval architecture, sail plan and appendages) and Nauta Design (general design, deck and interior design) and she benefits of the experience gained by Southern Wind over the last two decades in building super yachts.

“The name “Feelin’ Good” is a wonderful way to explain how you feel when you are onboard. Southern Wind Shipyard has captured the essence of blue water cruising in Italian luxury and style. You can’t help but ‘feel good’ when on this boat,” said SW82 yacht Feelin’ Good owner, while watching his new yacht touching the water for the first time.

In the forthcoming days Feelin’ Good yacht will complete her sea trials under the protective look of the Table Mountain and then she will leave South Africa for her maiden voyage of about 7000 nm to the Mediterranean.

She will be officially presented as a world première during the 2013 Monaco Yacht Show.

SW 82 RS (Raised Saloon) version features bright panoramic windows of the coach roof and an airy under-deck open saloon. The project was conceived on the basis of the extraordinary expertise that Southern Wind Shipyard gained in the last decade in building 100 feet range super yachts, combined with the will to produce again a smaller range of yachts. The 82 feet size, in fact, is the perfect size for many owners, since it allows plenty of room for fun and comfort but keeps close to the wind and to the water.

SW82 represents the perfect fit for owners who love to sail and enjoy life at sea firsthand, without the constraints of a large crew. This new project is an exciting addition to the SWS line incorporating many of the features and style of her bigger sisters.

The new 82 line is the ‘sweet spot’ for cruising in terms of top performance, maximum durability, amazing interior volume, unmatched luxury and cutting edge design.

SW82 superyacht Feelin’ Good is one of the brightest SW yachts: she is the first Southern Wind yacht that features the combination of two hull windows each side in the saloon, 270° panoramic coachroof windows, as well as a transparent coachroof top window, a good solution which honors Southern Wind Shipyard search for a functional design.

The brightness of SW82 yacht Feelin’ Good interiors is even more emphasized by the furniture in light waxy oak and by a commanding view from the galley all the way to the owners’ cabin, which furthermore maximizes the feeling of spaciousness.

Southern Wind Shipyard expertise in the semi-custom construction allowed the customization of the yacht with a strong focus on blue water capability as the owner is planning to make the tour of the world by sailing.

The interior layout is the most renowned Southern Wind configuration, which features crew quarters aft, while the master cabin is straight forward, in the quietest area of the yacht. The 3 guest cabin layout allows for a spacious and enjoyable social area which includes a studio. SW82 yacht Feelin’ Good has total Apple Macintosh computer systems for navigation and entertainment, as wished by the owner.

The exterior layout is focused on the volumes extension and the sense of size is achieved by gradually tapering the beam from the maximum point to the transom. Furthermore, the owner chose to have a fixed bowsprit with an integrated anchor, which allows fast moorings and grants an extra storage room in the anchor locker.
