There are few yachts in the world that has made a permanent place in the top list of world’s finest yachts and motor yacht PELORUS is certainly one of them. These yachts are the best specimen of luxury, beauty and class.

Built in the year 2003, motor yacht Pelorus is one of the largest and the most luxurious private yachts of the world. The yacht at the Larssen yard in Bremen, Germany, it is one of the largest private yachts in the world at 377 feet 3 inches (115 meters) in length.

The yacht was briefly owned by a Saudi businessman who then sold her to a Russian billionaire. The yacht was then refitted with the help of Blohm & Voss, according to the owner’s requirements.

Pelorus has a beam of 17.20 meters and draft of 4.66 meters. Listed at the third place as the most expensive yachts in the world, Pelorus costs a staggering 300 million US Dollars. One needs to see it to believe the yacht’s beauty. Built with utmost precision in each and every aspect, Pelorus stands as the perfect example of world class engineering and extravagant luxury. A floating heaven, super yacht Pelorus is a paradise for everyone.

The yacht sails under the flag of Germany and is certified by IMO and Germanishe Lloyd. The propulsion system of the yacht consists of two Wartsila engines with full power of 540 hp each. The system provides the yacht with a maximum speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots. Apart from luxury, reliability is an important aspect of this yacht. The yacht has a fuel capacity of 280 metric tons with water capacity of 100 metric tons, which makes the yacht independent in terms of fuel and water.

Pelorus has a crew on board capacity of 40 people, and a guest capacity of 18. Moreover,the VIP staterooms along with the owner’s private room make their own style statement. The yacht also consists of two large living rooms specifically designed for conferences, meetings and parties. All the rooms feature a large LCD TV with surround sound Stereo system.

The yacht also consists of many water activity facilities. The yacht facilitates arrangements for practicing diving, water sport and drive jets. Pelorus has a number of tenders on board and a garage full of ‘toys’ including jet skis and wave runners. The large pool of the yacht has ample space surrounding it for sunbathing and other leisure activities. Moreover, the beautiful ocean-view deck makes an ideal place for having coffee and dinner. The aft part of the yacht also consists of a bar, with comfortable chairs and classy ambiance. The bar is also provided with surround sound system and an LCD TV.

Some additional features includes two helicopter caps, four new zero-speed stabilizers and special designs for the exhaust, mast and stern. Security features on the yacht include a submarine for detecting limpet mines and a missile-detection system.

Pelorus is often found cruising around the Western Mediterranean during the summers and down through the Suez during the winters.It is the world’s fourteenth largest luxury yacht.
