Ichtus is a 70’ fast and safe luxury sail yacht built in 2010 whose modern lines are derived from round the 60’ Open round the world racing development from Marc Lombard’s plans. As a Futuna 70 aluminum composite carbon sail yacht from Normandy Yachts, she has fine entry lines, maximum dynamic waterline length and reduced waterline beam when heeled. The wide stern sections associated with the single rudder configuration lend sublime helm sensations for high pleasure and exhilarating sailing.

Her aluminum hull provides the highest safety at sea, while her deck built with vacuum-bagged composite sandwich of GRP/closed-cell marine grade polymer foam core offers exceptional comfort inside. That construction approach is that the high end luxury yachts and contributes to an excellent weight ratio, strength, and performance. Her carbon rig allows for exceptionally fast and comfortable sailing.

Ichtus deck is flush and unobtrusive, perfect for sailing maneuvers and sunbathing. She has a rear opening platform for direct access to water, swimming, diving and snorkeling, sport fishing, and sunbathing. The large comfortable shaded cockpit is perfect for outside meals, quiet mornings for coffee, or sunsets watching.

Ichtus sports a large forward owner’s cabin and another double cabin aft offered to guests for charter. The third cabin is used by the crew. The layout of the staterooms ensures privacy, luxury and uncompromised comfort and space below deck. The interior is light thanks to the large windows on each side of the yacht and the forward facing windows, and the large saloon allows friends and family to dine indoors or enjoy watching with the large screen TV/DVD entertainment system. A smaller saloon to starboard is perfect for conversations, or reading.

Sail yacht Ichtus offers superb accommodation and entertainment for up to four guests, hosted by unobtrusive yet attentive and personable crew.

She will be in the Mediterranean, Sardinia, Ionian Sea and Greece, Croatia, and Turkey for cruising charter during 2011, and in the Caribbean in Saint Martin for cruising the Virgin Islands, the Grenadines, or Puerto Rico and Cuba in the winter 2011/2012. The Atlantic crossing as part of the ARC race will also be offered as an exciting sailing adventure.
