Jongert Shipyard in Holland has launched motor yacht Lucia-M, a 39 metre motor yacht – type 3900MY. Yacht Lucia M is the first motor yacht of these dimensions ever built by Jongert. The Jongert motor yacht line has been developed by the yard at the specific request of several customers who appreciate the design of the Jongert sailing yachts but prefer a motor yacht.
The fast semi-displacement aluminium yacht is owned by a German hotel developer. Folkert Brongers, general manager of Jongert Shipyard, is proud of the fact that two years ago specifically this customer has chosen Jongert. ‘Superyacht Lucia-M is his third motor yacht and he is an experienced motor yacht owner. He knew Jongert for many years and when he wanted to have a new motor yacht built, he chose Jongert. In my opinion that’s a huge compliment.’
A typical Jongert Yacht
In the past 57 years Jongert has built 325 sailing yachts. The 3900 MY, Superyacht LUCIA M (build number 429 overall), is the first large motor yacht.
