A fleet of sailing superyachts will be racing at the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2009. The racinbg is made up of four days of racing, from June 10th to 13th.

This is the second time this sailing superyacht event has taken place. The Yacht Club Costa Smeralda (Porto Cervo, Sardinia) is the host and the event is open to sailing yachts of over 24 meters in length.
THE EVENT LOCATION:
The Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta 2009 is at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in the seasidevillage of Porto Cervo – which is on the northern coast of Sardinia. Website: http://www.yccs.it/
This year in 2009 eighteen superyachts will compete in the regatta, with an average length of over 33 meters.

The yacht racing program will be organised by the highly experienced international race committee at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda using the IRC rating. There will be a fleet start for the racing division and a pursuit start for the cruising division.
