According to a report, the newly refitted Loaloat Al Behar is the latest and the largest entry to the long list of the magnificent yachts which will be present at the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show 2010. Manufactured in 1982 for the Sultan of Oman – His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the yacht was originally known as Al Said with reference to the Omani Royal Family.
However, the 103m yacht was renamed as Loaloat Al Behar in 2008 when the second, larger Al Said yacht was made for the Sultan of Oman. Later, H.M. Sultan Qaboos gifted Loaloat Al Behar to Oman’s Ministry of Tourism.
The elusive mega yacht is constructed by Picchiotti, currently a part of the Perini Navi Group and styled by Oman Rys. Earlier reports suggested that in 2009 the yacht had to be refitted in Dubai. While doing so it was also ensured the interiors of the yacht remains undisturbed. This included the-state-of-the-art Lantic Systems Entertainment Solution which was installed in guest rooms, saloons, cinema, and deck areas too. It was also provided with the audio and video on demand with Satellite TV tuners and Lantic Yacht Surveillance. The Lantic Yacht Surveillance consists of an advanced system which also enables distribution of CCTV images to any specified room.
