Already under construction at Mondo Marine, the 49,20-metre superyacht is scheduled for launch in 2014. It has taken the shipyard and the design studio six months to develop M50, creating a one of a kind, spacious, functional, yet luxurious vessel. Featuring light alloy hull as well as superstructure, M50 yacht project is being completely manufactured by the shipyard itself, at their location in the Italian city of Savona. Mondo Marine is extremely proud of their immaculate craftsmanship and the top quality vessels they produce for their clients, many of which return for a second or even third yacht order.
The design of the new M50 project features elements based on the Mondo Marine’s traditional styling heritage, combined with state-of-the-art design solutions, providing the yacht with a flowing, sober and elegant linear appeal. The most noticeable particularity is her steep rake of the stern, which generates a forward visual thrust for the superstructure and creates a play of open and filled spaces, allowing natural light to bathe the main deck interiors.
Project M50 yacht is a tri-deck semi-displacement vessel boasting excellent interior/exterior flow, thanks to the full-hight windows running most of the length of the main deck, allowing plenty of light to penetrate the inner areas. She is well suited for both, private ownership as well as yacht charter, thanks to her comfortable four guest cabin layout on the lower deck and the Owner’s suite on the main deck. Another excellent feature when it comes to yacht charter, is that the crew accommodation and the crew quarters are completely separate, in order to maintain the charter guests’ privacy at all times if required.
The dining area has been placed on the upper deck, providing for beautiful views during the meals and in addition allowing for more entertainment and socialising space in the main deck saloon. Superyacht Project M50 boasts a spectacular infinity pool on the sun deck, together with great spaces for al-fresco dining, sunbathing and lounging.
The yacht is accessible though the central walkway separating the two large sun-pads on the main deck, which leads to the aft cockpit. This area offers her guests a vast sunbathing space and a lounge with large sofas evoking the generosity of spaces typical of an open design.
An outstanding feature of the M50 yacht project is her unusually large fold-down beach area, where her guests can indulge in spaces that can be found on yachts of 60+ metres. When closed, it conceals the access stairway and forms a striking yet warmly welcoming area.This stylistic solution generates an extended visual sweep that acts as a conceptual reflection of the classic external lines. The aft fairleads feature elements inspired by the automobile industry, a typical feature that can be found in Hot Lab designs. There is also a large tender hosted by the starboard garage.
Just like all the shipyard’s recent yachts, structural, hydrodynamic and technical design for this 50-metre semi-displacement vessel were handled by Mondo Marine Engineering.
