Monte Fino in exclusive agreement with fractional ownership leaders the Global Superyacht Club
Monte Fino Yachts has signed an agreement with
leading fractional ownership association the Global
Superyacht Club for its yachts to provide exclusive
coverage of the Balearic Islands, including Mallorca
and Minorca.
Under the agreement Monte Fino will initially make
available to the GSC and its members one of its new
76 models (pictured right), the first of which was launched at the end of 2008, and additional Monte
Fino craft will be added to the portfolio in 2010 and thereafter. The current Monte Fino range of semicustom
motoryachts ranges in size from 76 to 122 feet and is midway through a complete remodelling programme in conjunction with Humphreys Yacht Design – a leader in the design of high performance leisure yachts.
“We’re delighted to welcome Monte Fino as an ambassador for the Global Superyacht Club,” commented GSC founder Keith Smith. “The Monte Fino range offers exactly the kind of luxury, reliability and comfort that our members look for and they will provide the ideal setting for cruising around the varied and popular waters of the Balearic Islands.
We were also most impressed with the professionalism and experience of the Palma‐based Monte Fino team, and are very pleased that they will be working alongside us to ensure that the yachts are a continual source of pleasure to their owners and users.”
The Global Superyacht Club offers a range of fractional ownership programmes with yachts based across the Mediterranean and North America, together with the Caribbean and Dubai. Craft available under the programmes range in size from 17m open sports boats to 85m megayachts.
Fractional ownership is becoming increasingly popular in the motor yachting sector due to its cost effectiveness and convenience.

Monte Fino Yachts are built by Kha Shing Enterprises in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Founded by the Gong brothers in
1977, today Kha Shing is one of the largest builders of motoryachts in Taiwan and one of the largest boat builders in the world, with more than 1500 craft launched over the past 30 years. The Kha Shing yard has its own construction pond that can hold up to twelve yachts at any one time, and all interior woodwork is fitted on the yachts while floating in the pond in order to attain perfect fit and alignment. In 2004 a state‐of‐the‐art workshop was opened with the capacity to build two yachts of up to 130 feet concurrently, and additional workshop space was added in 2009.
