Motor yacht KEEP COOL a SL108 superyacht was launched by Sanlorenzo in July 2009. Yacht Keep Cool is currently the flag ship of the SL composite semi displacement motor yachts range including the SL62, SL72, SL82, SL100New and SL108, which are built in the Ameglia Division of Sanlorenzo.
The SL108 superyacht KEEP COOL is driven with two MTU 12V 4000M90 diesel engines giving 2775 HP (2040 kW) on each side. The motor yacht has a maximum speed of around 30 knots and a cruise speed of 28 knots.
Although a semi-custom SL108 (33 metre) yacht she differers from the norm in that she is the first Sanlorenzo model of this kind to be designed and built without a hard-top to cover on fly-bridge. This provides a large sunny and open flybridge area which features a motorised material bimini cover which is set into the roll-bar. This can then be opened towards the bow to cover the dining area and ensuring that the area can be shaded. On the aft of part of the yacht’s flybridge roll bar a bow awning can also be opened placed on four supports.
All the yacht’s fly deck is covered by horizontal staves and towards her aft is s a lounge zone, with four comfortable chaise-lounge, three little tables with removable trays. Two cockpit stairs lead to a whirlwind bath which is covered in teak as well. The dining area on the deck can accommodate 10 people while the starboard side also features lounge and a TV LCD pop-up system.
Lighting is a feature on KEEP COOL and her dimming lights on the main deck allow the lighting system to provide ranging levels of softness and brightness to help create atmosphere. The cockpit includes a comfortable sofa for four people with a table in natural teak for 10 guests. The interior furniture is Teak Siam while the ceiling is covered in Titanium.
The 33m boat design makes use of teak and titanium materials, in addition to new LED dimmer lights. Motor yacht KEEP COOL’s deck also features a bar with a tempered crystal surface, a large L-shaped (Minotti) equipped with three seats and two contiguous little tables with stainless steel frame and a smoked mirror produced on commission.
