It also includes the lesser known, but equally interesting, William Mariner. The main island of the Ha’apai group is also named Ha’apai, with the quaint old ‘town’ of Pangai as its centre. Game fishing is abound here – as in all Tongan waters.
Hunga Lagoon is an attractive enclosed area and you can sail west from here to experience excellent deep-sea fishing for tuna, dorado and sailfish.
