MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association –
headline sponsor of the PYA Sea Changes Forum
13th September 2012: A number of important training and certification updates for captains and crew, along with much anticipated changes to legislation – brought about by the official launch from the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) of Large Yacht Code 3 (LY3) – will be among topics keenly discussed at the PYA Sea Changes Forum, organised by the Professional Yachting Association and taking place between 18h30 and 21.00 Thursday 20th Sept 2012 at the Monaco Yacht Show.
Of all the items on the forum agenda, launch of LY3 and the implications contained therein, is expected to draw a healthy turnout of captains, crew, yacht designers, brokers and technical management personnel to the evening’s proceedings, which will see guest speakers from the MCA, Transport Malta, Royal Yachting Association (RYA) and the PYA, followed by a Q&A session at the end.
Chairman of the MYBA Yacht Management Committee, Niall Robinson, said: “Events such as the Sea Changes Forum rarely proceed without some form of patronage or sponsorship, therefore as MYBA is one of the large yacht industry’s most highly respected and influential trade associations with 238 professional members and an active technical Yacht Management Committee in place, we are pleased to play a central role by becoming headline sponsor of the evening’s activities.”
