The 60 meter long yacht is striking, has a powerful bow and comprises of a distinctive superstructure, which makes it an ideal yacht for voyaging. The ground-breaking new yacht project has been designed by the world-renowned Vripack studio of Netherlands. Moreover, it also has an efficient propulsion plant and ample tank storage capacity, along with numerous safety and engineering features.
The 60M Expedition Motor Yacht is a steel-and-aluminum vessel having an amazing range of 8,000 nautical miles at 12.5 knots interior. This go-anywhere boat is specially designed for unrestricted, long-term transoceanic voyaging. It has a typical round-bilge displacement hull with a flared blow, transom stern and straight, even keel for ultimate speed and fuel efficiency.
The yacht has an overall length of 61 meters (200 feet) and has a maximum beam of 12 meters (39.4 feet) and a draft of 3.2 meters (10.5 feet). The yacht’s twin-engine propulsion provides a maximum speed not less than 14.5 knots at half load. Moreover, the yacht’s 8,000 nautical mile (nm) range is provided at 12.5 knots using one engine at 80 percent of load and includes a 15 percent weather allowance.
It has seven levels of accommodation space, including a private owner’s deck. The 60M expedition yacht can accommodate up to 14 guests and a crew of 14 to 16. Being a custom made yacht; the actual number of staterooms and the interior design are up to the owner’s discretion. However, the basic design of full width superstructure allows an unusually spacious owner’s suite, along with six large and equal guest staterooms (each with its own bath complete with tub).
