Lantic has launched a completely new graphical user interface (GUI), the system of on-screen menus and information panels by which users of Lantic Entertainment Systems navigate around the content and functions. It will be rolled out by the company in early 2011 to complement the comprehensive software upgrade released in 2010.
The new GUI uses the latest software to bring faster and more intuitive navigation, allowing even those users with no previous experience of Lantic Systems to pick up the remote control and quickly view the available media and content, and then select the track, iPod, movie or channel of their choosing. Other functions such as climate control, lighting, CCTV feeds and navigation data can also be quickly accessed and displayed on-screen.
This continues Lantic’s strategy of ensuring that its systems combine the most sophisticated technology with the simplest of controls to deliver comprehensive multimedia packages that can simultaneously cater for all interests, tastes and age groups. Lantic recognises that intuitive control mechanisms are vital if guests are to get the maximum enjoyment from the entertainment systems installed in their cabins and staterooms, and avoid unnecessary calls to crew members for assistance. This is particularly important on yachts used for charter or those that experience high volumes of guests during the course of a season.
The new GUI is the latest in a series of upgrades that have taken place over the past twelve months, all designed to reinforce Lantic’s position as the market leader in the development and installation of integrated multimedia entertainment systems for the world’s finest luxury yachts.
Lantic Entertainment Systems is the world leader in the development and manufacture of audio-visual entertainment systems for superyachts and is based in Denmark. Lantic systems can be found on board many of the world’s largest and most prestigious yachts.
