New World Expedition Yachts have begun construction on their new 95’ long-range cruiser, a full-displacement motor yacht custom designed for an east coast client. NWEY’s in house design group created the yacht’s exterior and interior design, as well as the entire engineering package including naval architecture.
The explorer yacht combines classic and modern styling with luxury, safety and comfort, making her the ideal vessel for worldwide cruising. She features stylish accommodations for extended cruising, areas for entertaining and equipment suitable for a much larger motor yacht.
A full beam width owner’s stateroom, forward on the main deck, features large hull-side-opening windows perfect for taking in the morning sunshine or fresh evening breeze. Her fly bridge offers an area equipped with a bar, hot tub and a fiberglass hard top providing cover for the large seating areas. When not in use, the bar and hot tub serve as an open-air raised sun bed.
For expeditions to shore, the boat deck holds one tender 24 feet in length plus a 16-foot crew tender, and still leaves some room for scooters or a PWC, deployed aft, port or starboard with a 4,500-pound capacity deck crane.
Mechanically, the yacht will be equipped with a single Caterpillar C32 ‘A’ rated engine that will give her a cruising speed of 10.5 knots and a maximum speed of almost 13 knots. She will carry 6,300 US gallons of fuel and have a range of over 4,500 nautical miles. She has zero-speed stabilizers with an integrated central hydraulic system.
