Opac Group has recently developed a new prototype of a shade system which resembles a fan. The Italian based company has been making bimini solutions in their nautical departments for the last 10 years. The new design contains a modified retractable system with varied movement. The system can be easily positioned on the flybridge or a deck of a yacht and works using centrally grouped gears that co-ordinate the motion of the arms so that they converge at the center, leading to the formation of a 180 degree sun shade zone.
This fan prototype can carry the highest width possible on a flybridge of a yacht with radius which is half of the width. The fans would work automatically using the energy liberated hydraulically or electrically. The fan can also be conveniently positioned in the vessel in a small area for adding space out of the sun and thus becomes the best option for the yachts, whether small or large.
