Perini Navi hit the bull’s eye recently when it sold two yachts, one 73 meter motoryacht and another 50 meter sailing yacht. The most astounding part is that Perini Navi Group, has entered the motor yacht market only two years ago with the re-launching of its Picchiotti brand. The company now celebrates the third contract for the new Picchiotti Vitruvius series. The first two models, a 50 meter and a 55 meter, are currently under construction.

The Italian company sold the two contracts, one to the Far Eastern market and another to the American market. This highlights the fact that the demand for Italian shipyards is continuously rising through out the world.

The 50 meter sailing yacht is designed by Perini Navi in collaboration with Ron Holland and is scheduled to be release on 2012, while the 73.30 meter motor yacht, which is designed by Philippe Briand, will be completed by the end of 2013.

Perini Navi is growing by leaps and bounds. In a recent report the company announced a turnover of EU 94,000,000, an EBITDA of EU 8,500,000, and a pretax profit of EU 7,000,000 for 2008. With 7 units under construction for delivery in the next few years, the company’s net worth of the projects amounts to EU 230,000,000, and expects further improvements for 2009.
