Perini Navi Group, a popular name in the yachting industry, is all set to introduce Picchiotti-Vitruvius, the first motor yacht of the company. Since it stepped into the motor yacht market in 2006, the yacht has managed to showcase an interesting range of motor yachts which were built in association with famous French naval architect Phillipe Briand, who has also contributed his skills towards yachts such as the S/Y Spiip and the S/Y P2.
CEO of Perini Navi Group, Giancarlo Ragnetti is extremely thrilled to witness the launch of Picchiotti-Vitruvius. This yacht is a mark of excellence and high quality. It not only reaffirms the exclusivity of the 48 sailing vessels rolled out by the group till date but also becomes another significant level of progress achieved by Perini Navi.
Picchiotti-Vitruvius, the first from the group of three yachts, is expected to be released in the beginning of July 2010. This yacht was shifted from the shed to the square to get set for its launch.
The second yacht from this series sold by the Perini Navi group is underway at the second shed of this yard. This 55m motor yacht follows ABS Ice-Class specifications and is likely to travel from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean through the Arctic archipelago of Canada before it is delivered in 2011.
The hull of the third yacht is at the moment under construction at the Perini Navi Group Yildiz shipyard in Istanbul, Turkey. The company plans to shift this 73m superyacht to La Spezia for finishing its construction work. It is scheduled to be delivered in 2013.
When S/Y Riela won Best Sailing Yacht Yacht of 45m and above at the World Superyacht Awards 2010, it was clearly evident that Perini Navi Group successfully re-established itself in the market. Even with the current Picchiotti-Vitruvius, Briand ensured that they constructed a unique craft with lines, distribution volume and weight that achieve the highest possible efficiency.
