On May the 14th Cantieri Navali Beconcini successfully complete the transfer and relocation of the superyacht Vitruvius 50m motor yacht.
Using the 820 Ton travel lift for very large yachts, the specialized team of riggers from Perini Navi’s Cantieri Beconcini have made the transfer of the motor yacht Vitruvius from the main square of Cantieri Navali Beconcini to her shed in the Gulf of La Spezia.
The Picchiotti Vitruvius 50m is the first motor yacht sold by the Perini Navi Group, and is currently under construction at Beconcini with delivered scheduled for next spring.
The second motor yacht under the Picchiotti brand has been recently sold – a Vitruvius Explorer 55m. This second Perini motor yacht will be delivered to her Owners in Summer 2011.
The experienced owner‘s brief called for efficiency, seaworthiness, robustness and sophisticated elegance for the yacht design.
To complete the North West passage the explorer yacht was built in compliance with ice class standards. The North West passage ia the sea route through the Artic Ocean which is via the waterways of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
Award winning Philippe Briand is the naval architect for the project, whom Vitruvius Yachts Ltd and Perini Navi have appointed.
