All the spectators and participants at the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show 2010 will be highly delighted when they experience the refreshing look and entirely innovative structure of the event for the superyachts. A ‘must-visit’ programme for all the yacht lovers, the show is scheduled for the 25th -27th February at the picturesque Yas Marina. The illustrious show has recorded multitude registrations from several exhibitors and visitors along with a confirmation of 25 superyachts (to be put for display). The event is currently under the sponsorship of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.
The Group Director of ADYS – Franck Dailles corroborated that this year they will be able to house a huge number of superyachts and megayachts which arrive there from different corners of the world. Besides the vast space available for exhibition, the location will have sound berthing facilities too. The list of fabulous Super yachts to be at display is as follows:
Loaloat Al Behar
The megayacht Loaloat Al Behar was built in 1982 at the request of the Sultan of Oman – His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and so was formerly known as Al Said. However, it was rechristened in 2008 when another bigger AlSaid yacht was manufactured for the Sultan of Oman. The 103m yacht is constructed by Picchiotti, a part of Perini Navi Group, and has been designed by Oman Rys. The superyacht is installed with the state-of-the-art Lantic Systems Entertainment Solution in the guest rooms, saloons, cinema and the deck areas to give the service of the audio and video on demand. Moreover there is also a Lantic Yacht Serveillance which is facilitates in distributing CCTV images to any specified room. The newly refitted Loaloat Al Behar is the largest yacht to have been registered at the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show 2010.
Lauren L is a 90m motor yacht manufactured in Germany in 2002 under the management Germanischer Lloyd. A perfect solution for a large family (upto 48 guests), a conference venue charter or even a corporate meeting, this yacht consists of twenty four cabins. Renovated in 2004, the superyacht has vast areas for sunbathing, leisure activities and a variety of water sports equipment, massage and beauty salons, spas, sauna, Jacuzzis, and gym. Formerly as yacht Constellation, the yacht has 3 V.I.P. cabins, 10 guest and 10 other cabins including twin/double beds, en-suite bathrooms, computers and multimedia entertainment amenities with mini-bar. Also, it is touted to be the largest yacht which is available for charter with extraordinary interiors and exteriors styled by Alpha Marine.
Alysia is a highly striking superyacht and is in the list of the largest yachts of the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show 2010. With a large built, the yacht has an area of 2,400 square meters of guest space to house close to 36 guests. It has marble flooring with excellently designed wool carpets. Decoration of the interiors is based on the brushed oak, corian and marble presenting a combination of classic and urban designs. The yacht consists of an owner’s suite, a VIP suite, 8 double suites and 8 twins. With the regular set of facilities and water sports/ toys, it is installed with the satellite communications, GSM phones and satellite TV. Its incredible engine capacity allows it to cruise at a speed of 14 knots.
Introduced by Hanseatic Marine in 2009, Silver Zwei is considered to be the longest all-aluminum yacht across the globe. The mega yacht is 73.3m long and designed by Expen Oenio. Silver Zwei was manufactured for the German industrialist and entrepreneur Guido Krass. A high speed vessel, it can sail in the waters at a cruise speed of 18 knots and a top speed of 25 knots. What sets it apart from the other yachts is its slender lines and sleek profile. Like the previous ‘Silver’ series of Hanseatic Marine, this eco-friendly yacht is also popular for its high level fuel efficiency. Its maiden voyage has been from Perth to Dubai which covered a distance of 5103nm in 11 days and 15 hours using 92550L of fuel.
Allure Shadow is a 67m luxury sport utility yacht manufactured in 2007 by Shadow Marine. The yacht has 6 cabins to accommodate 12 guests. These guest staterooms are spacious with each having a private balcony. Large oval windows on the main accommodation and sky lounge decks give breathtaking views to its guests. The Shadow Marine support yacht is available for charter in the Mediterranean during the summer season and the Caribbean during the winter month. The spacious yacht has arrangements for a helicopter on a large landing deck. Moreover, for the entertainment purposes the guests can make use of raised DJ balcony, sound system and mirrored disco ball. Not only this but even for water sports, it has a 28ff Nautica catamaran hull landing craft and underwater scooters, snorkel gear, ample fishing gear, towable toys, water skis, boards available.
The 65.22m Trident, a massive luxury yacht was manufactured by Feadhip Royal Van Lent Shipyard in 2009. The exclusive exteriors and interiors of the remarkable yacht have been designed by De Voogt Naval Architects and Donald Starkey respectively. The yacht has a master suite and six guest cabins to accommodate 14 guests in all. A crew of 18 members can also be housed in the same. It is powered by 2x MTU 16V4000M60R engines which run 1400kW @ 1600 rpm and 2x Wartsila Fixed pitch 5 bladed propellers. It can move at a speed of 16 knots while covering a distance of 4700 nm.
Manufactured by Italian shipyard Viareggio SuperYachts, Roma is a 61.80m superyacht. The yacht has the exteriors built in the designs of Espen Oeino and the interiors have been styled by Newcruise. Delivered in 2010, the yacht has a 62 m long steel hull and its aluminum large structure is being manufactured to conform to the stringent environmental standards under ABS (Environmental Safety) standards. Powered by 2 HP 2,682 engines, the yacht cruises at a speed of 12 knots with a maximum speed 17 knots. 12 guests can sleep in the vessel which has a master suite and 5 guest cabins.
A Lurssen Yachts creation, 60m Linda Lou was delivered to its American owners in 2006 and is also included in the prized list of the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show 2010. Espen Oeino has again contributed his designs towards the construction of this elegant yacht. The interiors have all been styled by Francois Zuretti. The yacht has a capacity to house 12 guests while providing vast areas inside and out. Each cabin is styled and decorated individually and has extra large vertical portholes. It adheres to both the standards of Lloyds Register and the MCA. It is supported by two Caterpillar engines of 1,440 kW each to reach a top speed of 15.5 knots and has a range of 5.000 nm. Moreover, its advanced sound and vibration characteristics ensure guarantee an extremely quiet running yacht.
Introduced by Oceanfast, this 48m motoryacht will be at present at the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show for the first time. It is the only new yacht of her size being offered for sale at this year’s show. It is claimed to have highly exclusive interiors and exteriors and was delivered to its owner in January 2010. Engineering systems in this yacht are extremely advanced. With a top speed of 16 knots and 4000 nautical mile range at a cruising speed of 12 knots, the Oceanfast 48 series is a good option for long range exploring. Thus, the yacht can manage both a completely crewed super yacht on the charter market and minimal crew for an owner who demands a more direct involvement.
Ellix, the 47.5m yacht built by ISA in 2004 has a unique and urban exterior with 8.6m beam. Wlater Franchini Architetto is responsible for the interior designing of the yacht. It is powered by 2 x MTU 12v 200hp engines and can cut waters at an amazing speed of 15 knots – a maximum cruising speed of 17 knots. Approximately, 12 guests and 5 crew members can be accommodated in this yacht which is currently based in West Mediterranean. There are 6 cabins in all with several other facilities available like Jaccuzi, BBQ, gymnasium, laundry, satellite TVs. Moreover, other water sports amenities have also been provided so that the guests have a splendid time.
This 42.75m lustrous yacht was constructed by Baglietto in Italy in 2007. Francesco Paszkowski has designed the exteriors and the interiors of the motoryacht. Super yacht Le Yana can accommodate 12 guests and 9 crew members. The 3512B HD engine installed in the motor yacht is built by Caterpillar and facilitates the yacht to move at a cruising speed of 14.5 knots with a range of 4500 nm and a maximum speed of 16.5 knots. Moreover, the yacht fulfills the ABS standards and. in October 2009 LE YANA visited Magaluf, in Spain. LE YANA also navigated the waters around Illes Balears during the month of Sept 2009.
The Abu Dhabi Yacht Show 2010 has also registered the 41m Blink as the participating yacht. Manufactured by Cantieri de Pisa in 2009, the yacht has incredible designs contributed by Cristinano Gatto for the interiors. This 41m Akhir 135 flybridge megayacht is also available for charter. Blink is built to meet the ABS class and has a cruising speed of 25 knots and a range of 2,740 nautical miles at 12 knots. It is put on sale at €15 million down from the staggering amount of €18.75 million. It can house up to 11 guests in a master, double, twin and two singles plus three Pullman berths. The long flybridge can be used for official or unofficial dining for 12 guests.
The 39.10m sport fishing yacht is a Heesen creation and was manufactured in 1999. The yacht has a beam of 7.98m and is constructed with a semi-displacement hull design using aluminum. This luxury boat is designed by James McFarlane and is available for sale with International Yachting Collection. It can cruise at a top speed of 35 knots. The yacht can accommodate 10 guests in five staterooms and has a crew of four in two cabins. Powered by 2 MTU 16V4000M90 engines, Red Sapphire has a maximum speed of 35 knots and can cruise at 13 knots from its 34000-liter fuel tanks.
Built in Italy in 2003, Azimut 100 consists of 4 cabins and a master suite to accommodate 8-10 guests. 3-4 members of the crew can also be housed in the yacht. It is built with a beam of 21.65 meters and has a cruising speed of 23 knots and is the best vessel for charter in Croatia. The top level of the yacht has the fly bridge, which includes lounge chair to make a better place for dining while giving a beautiful glimpse overlooking the sea. There is also a large deck which helps the guest to enjoy and relax to have cocktails. Various amenities available include a 4.3m Novurania semi rigid tender with 80hp, Kawasaki 2 seated wave runner, Water-ski, Wakeboard, ski toys and snorkeling equipments.

Ferretti Custom Line 97′, model of the Custom Line planning line, is the result of the collaboration between Studio Zuccon International Project and the AYT Advanced Yacht Technology of Ferretti Group. It consists of a number of design solutions striving to enhance the space available to the owner and his guests such as the master cabin at bow on the main deck with large windows on both sides and a chaise longue for the guests to enjoy the sea while relaxing. Two layouts of the lower deck are able to provide up to four double cabins for guests. 97′ is equipped with latest-generation Naviop instrument, including cutting edge control systems that allow consumption, services and alarms to be supervised swiftly with touch screen commands. This solution offers the crew with even more convenient access to on board systems, a significant improvement in comfort and safety. Ferretti Custom Line 97′ is equipped with twin 16v 2000 M93 1790kW MTU engines able to move at a maximum speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 24 knots.
Super yacht Drago is built with Deep V hull and has a 5.25m beam with a fuel capacity of 4200lt. The yacht has a cruising speed of 39 knots and a maximum speed of 43 knots. Designed by Arch.Gianluca Caputi, this project was undertaken by Italcraft.
This 82m long yacht was built in Viareggio. The profile of the Azimut 82 exudes sinuosity and elegance. Large volumes and load bearing structures accompany the great protagonists of the exterior lines of the Azimut 82 and 25 m2 of glass surfaces sweep along the sides. These, at the points of inflection, delimit the various areas into which the main deck is divided – living area, lunch area, galley, helm station. Carlo Galeazzi has contributed towards the interior designing of the yacht. Two 1675 hp CAT C32 engines push the Azimut 82 to a cruising speed of around 27 knots and a top speed of 30, for autonomy of 400 miles.
Benetti Legend 85
The hull, superstructure and outfitting for this Super yacht are completed at the Benetti composite shipyard in Fano on the east coast of Italy. The same team – Stefano Righini for exterior styling; Francois Zuretti for interior and Benetti’s technical department who were responsible for making the Tradition, Classic and Vision so successful, collaborated again on this smaller composite yacht to meet the market’s latest demands. This full displacement yacht benefits from being less than 24m which means that her Owner enjoys simpler registration and crewing requirements whilst still being able to charter. Being a true semi-custom yacht, the owner is able to customize the interior style to match his individual taste.
