Sailing yacht Ethereal is a 58 meter long luxury yacht, with interiors designed by the renowned Pieter Beeldsnijder and the naval architecture done by the Ron Holland Design. Sailing Yacht Ethereal is a ketch, which not only flaunts traditional yachting style but also integrates modern needs with sheer style. Moreover, the yacht comprises of everything that is needed – luxury, style, modern technology, space , ventilation with natural light and all kind of yachting facilities.
Designed by Ron Holland, the sailing yacht Ethereal features an extraordinary level of modern technological innovation, which focuses on energy conservation and sustainable autonomous operation. The yacht, also makes a perfect blend of traditional and classic yacht lines, which makes it look exotic and hi-tech at the same time.
The Design of Ethereal has been inspired from yet another 43 meter ketch , Sailing Yacht Juliet, which was also made by Royal Huisman in collaboration with “The Dream Team” that included Ron Holland Design, Pieter Beeldsnijder and the Royal Huisman yacht yard design team. However, Ethereal is a much larger yacht than Juliet, with advanced technology and more features.
The main feature of the sailing yacht Ethereal is that it is also a Green yacht, which can not only operate independently but also energy-efficiently for extended period of time. The yacht has been designed to easily accommodate 10 guest in 3 double and 2 twin bedded cabins. The maximum guest capacity of the yacht is 12.
The “Green Yacht” Ethereal has windows and hatches manufactured from exotic glass laminates designed to make them increasingly opaque as infrared heat increases. Moreover, the hybrid electromechanical propulsion system allows the yacht, under sail, to charge its technically-advanced bank of lithium polymer batteries instead of using generators.
The automation system of the yacht, is what makes the yacht an exceptional one. The yacht consists of 21 computers, which together control the alarm and monitoring system. Out of 21, 18 custom PC based room controllers, maintain the room’s environment by operating air-conditioning, lighting, and shades as well as displaying yacht information, charts and cameras. The rest of the computers are also available and equipped for guest use in the Master cabin and the Guest study to ensure that any kind of business is taken care-of easily while enjoying the yacht charter. All these computers are connected with a wi-fi system network. If the guests are carrying laptops, they can be joined to the wifi network with just a click of a mouse. The wi-fi system ranges its network throughout the yacht,. i.e deck,interior and technical spaces and is also equipped with two VSAT antennas to ensure good Internet coverage.In areas of reduced coverage Fleet broadband (BGAN) is available with prorate costing. All these networks use Fleet and Iridium satellites, which ensures uninterrupted worldwide communications.
The lower salon of the yacht accommodates a core entertainment system with a 70” TV screen and the guest study is facilitated with a 42” screen – which are both equipped with blue-ray together with Apple-T.V. units. The yacht is also provided with an airport based entertainment system throughout the luxury sailing yacht, which ensures boat-wide music & entertainment, whilst remaining unobtrusive and uncluttered with the gadgetry.
Moreover, Ethereal with its well considered outside sunning and entertainment areas, a good selection of water toys, and a functional swim platform, provides all the requisites for a superior luxury charter vacation.The propulsion system of the yacht includes, Caterpillar C18, 714 HP engine, which provides a maximum speed of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots.
