More information about the different locations:

February until April 2012 – Caribbean

Caribbean is the second most popular charter location in the world, following the Mediterranean. A traditional hot spot for yacht charters, the Caribbean is considered “the king of yacht charter vacations”. It is an ocean filled with beautiful treasures, from tiny beaches ridden with coral atolls to significant mountainous islands with rich and colourful cultures. Popular places to visit on a yacht charter include Antigua, St Barts, Anguilla, St Martin, The British Virgin Islands, The US Virgin Islands, the Grenadines and many more.

The main Caribbean sailing season runs from November through to July. The Caribbean primary high season is from mid-December to March, when the winter escapees from North America and Europe arrive in their greatest numbers.

The Caribbean is made up of many different multi-nation (and multi-cultural) volcanic islands. There are amazing sailing grounds stretching from Cuba and Jamaica in the west, through the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, The Virgin Islands, The Leeward Islands and the Windward Islands, finishing with Trinidad and Tobago off the coast of Venezuela.

May and June 2012: San Blas, Panama, Sea of Cortez:

Panama and San Blas offer and incredible amount of colourful culture, stunning tropical beaches, hidden waterfalls in lush jungles, beautiful offshore islands and the remarkable marvel of the Panama Canal. The country offers great biodiversity thanks to her location as a narrow land strip between two continents and the size of its wilderness areas and protected rain forests.

San Blas archipelago is one of the major attractions in Panama with yacht charter guests. San Blas can be found only a few miles from the dense jungles of the mainland and is famous for the markets where Kuna Indians offer beadwork, carvings, colourful textiles with mola design as well as shells.

July until September 2012: West Coast of the US and Alaska:

The isolation of Alaska and British Columbia, alone, makes it an ideal yacht charter vacation. Most of the coastline, except for that in the North, is inaccessible by road. The nature of a charter yacht vacation is perfectly suited to discovering what Alaska is all about. From the deck of a charter boat, you can intimately encounter the dramatic scenery and the sea life below the icy waters. From the dining saloon, you can watch a full moon rise over a snow-striped mountain. And you can enjoy it all in the lap of luxury.

It’s difficult to overstate the beauty of Alaska. From your charter boat, you’ll see displays of fantastic carving glaciers, reaching incredible heights. Watch the red sun, set on the horizon, at midnight. You can also witness an area rich in wildlife. Brown and black bears forage on the shores. There are so many bald-headed eagles here, that the most avid bird-watcher will be impressed. Over 15 species of whales abide beneath the fridged waters, not to mention sea lines and seals. From the deck of your charter yacht you can fish for steelhead, trout, and salmon. Allow your skipper to negotiate your yacht charter through the unforgettable scenery of Alaska. All you need to worry about is running out of film!

October 2012: Hawaii

The stunning charter destination Hawaii is unlike any other place on Earth. Hawaii is one of the youngest geological formations in the world and home to one of the world’s most active volcanoes and the world’s tallest sea mountain. The island’s perfect temperature is wonderfully complemented by the unique Hawaiian aloha spirit – the warmth of the people. Maui, Lanai, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai and Hawaii’s Big Island are perhaps the six most significant islands to visit during your luxury charter holiday. Each island offers it’s unique personality, great adventures and wonderful sights.

November 2012: Marshall Islands

Wonderful flat coral islands that make up the unique charter destination the Marshall Islands, offer crystal blue waters and unparalleled beaches to relax and enjoy your vacation. It is undoubtedly one of the most unique places int he world to visit. While sailing through the Marshal Islands on you preferred sailing or motor yacht, you can also plan a trip to Laura Village on the far western end of the island, organise a picnic trip to one of the small islands across the lagoon or scuba dive to see the wonderful underwater world full of rich sea life.

December 2012 until April 2013: South East Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Burma)

The islands off the northeast coast of Malaysia are an enchanting yacht charter cruising ground. Langawi and Penang are amongst the largest of the hundred islands in the archipelago, just south of the Thai border. A yacht charter vacation is the best way to explore these bewitching islands, as many are only accessible by boat. The islands of Malaysia make a beautiful, relaxing and intriguing yacht charter destination. Take your time and incorporate the stunning islands of Thailand in your itinerary, as well.

Thailand’s, Phuket makes a perfect base for your yacht charter in the Andaman Sea. Phuket is conveniently located close to Burma, Malaysia and the Indonesian Archipelago. Although the potential cruising ground is extensive, Thailand alone holds plenty to keep anyone entertained on a yacht charter – in fact, you’ll probably never want to leave. Phuket is a haven of activity with modern resorts, restaurants, nightlife and great shopping, for those who are interested. For those who aren’t, you’ll be pleased to know that once you start sailing you’ll be more likely to come across stunning isolated beaches and wildlife, than flashy nightclubs.

A Burma (Myanmar) yacht charter is a rare and special experience and it is an excellent opportunity for you to charter sailing yacht Drumbeat in this remote area. If you are looking for a yachting holiday vacation that is truly out there, then you might want to try Myanmar (Burma) yacht charter. A crewed luxury Myanmar yacht charter on a superyacht is a rare event as there are not many yachts passing through this remote part of South East Asia, however, should you be lucky enough to organize a yacht like Drumbeat, you are sure to experience a rare and treasured event. The natural wonders, islands, sea life and exoticness of Burma is second to none. There are trails of tiger footprints on the sandy beaches in a completely untouched world. This is a special place.

May until September 2013: Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and Fiji

Indonesia is extremely large, and there is a correspondingly very large choice of areas to visit when on a yacht charter. Unfortunately, there is not a very large selection of crewed luxury charter yachts available there. Drumbeat charter yacht’s world circumnavigation and the fact that she will be visiting this stunning and immensely large charter area, gives sailing enthusiasts the opportunity to discover this fascinating location in relaxed, yet elegant style, great comfort and luxury. Being the largest island group in the world the Indonesia archipelago offers so much coastline to explore and so many miles to sail. It covers around 5200 kilometres and sits just off the Asian mainland stretching right down across the balmy tropic latitudes down towards the northern tip of Australia.

The amazing and remote Papua New Guinea is another exciting ‘corner of the world’ to explore on board of the beautiful Drumbeat yacht. Papua New Guinea is a country in Oceania and is located in the Southwest Pacific Ocean. One of the most culturally diverse countries in the world, over 850 indigenous languages are spoken here and it is also the world’s least explored country, culturally and geographically. An amazing and colourful place to visit for an unforgettable charter holiday.

On a sailing yacht charter in Vanuatu, you’ll find one of the most ancient living cultures on the planet. Melanesians inhabit these islands, which lie between Fiji and New Caledonia, stretching for over 900km. That’s a lot of prime cruising area to charter a yacht! The majority of the outer islands of Vanuatu remain simplistic with fantastic examples of traditional culture and primitive standards. The only way to reach all the islands of Vanuatu is by boat. The best way to reach all the islands of Vanuatu is on your own charter yacht.

Fiji is the perfect place for a yacht charter holiday. Imagine white sandy beaches, aquamarine water and swaying palms trees. Many areas of the Fijian Islands are inaccessible to tourism because of their remoteness, which gives both luxury sailing yacht charters and motor yachts a real scope for unforgettable adventure.Fiji is one of the most scenic islands destinations in the South Pacific and indeed the entire world. This is where the famous movie the Blue Lagoon was made, and for good reason. Fiji is an island paradise. Adventurous vacationers enjoy Fiji yacht charters as these islands are less commercialised and far more remote than other islands.

February 2014 onwards: Patagonia and Antarctica (to be confirmed)

Patagonia is a truly astonishing area and like a world within a world. Ushuaia is the capital of the Province of Tierra del Fuego, Patagonia, and while Tierra del Fuego is called the Land of the End of the World, Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world. Tierra del Fuego is located south of the Magellan Strait of the Beagle Channel and is base to lots of explorations to the Antarctica Continent or to Patagonia.

Tierra del Fuego offers amazing landscapes with rivers, mountains and exuberant vegetation. The Valdez Peninsula (Patagonia) is ideal for those with an interest in raw nature in its untouched quietness. It is a sanctuary, full of wildlife and home to diverse marine species such as franca whales, orcas, dolphins, elephant seals, Magellan penguins, as well as earthly fauna such as guanacos, rheas, herons, skunks, grey and red foxes, to name a few. On shore, you will find very natural and preserved beaches and countryside. Activities in Patagonia include wildlife watching, to horse riding, biking, trekking, diving, fishing, kayaking and much more.

Is it particularly rare to get the chance to witness the wonders of Antarctica. It is even rarer to be able to experience an Antarctica yacht charter with the private freedom of a luxury yacht and a professional dedicated crew and guide. This could be your one in a lifetime opportunity to visit this unique, elusive and quite mysterious location on board of such wonderful yacht as Drumbeat.

Antarctica is a fragile and fascinating landscape and eco system. If you are looking for an out of the ordinary travel experience, a luxury yacht charter in Antarctica is the chance of a lifetime. Antarctica is unlike any other charter destination; this majestic place is beautiful and an awe-inspiring, pristine environment. The last frontier on earth, Antarctica is 1.3 times as large as Europe, and twice the size of Australia, yet only a lucky few people will ever get to experience the continent’s true beauty. This could well be you!
