Sailing yacht PANTHALASSA was launched on Saturday at the Perini Navi shipyard in Viareggio, Italy.
Yacht PANTHALASSA is 56 metres LOA long and the superyacht has been created as a true luxury yacht with luxurious comforts and space and she features flexibility in design which means she is ideal for yacht charters. With respect to chartering vacations she has accommodation for up to 12 guests in six individual cabins sharing relatively similar proportions – again ideal for charter purposes.
Accommodation is arranged to provide a range of spaces, from smaller, more private retreats to flexible, open living areas. The deck features a variety of places to relax and an informal outdoor eating area, complemented by a more formal dining space inside.
Yacht PANTHALASSA has three decks (fly deck, the main deck and the guest and crew quarters below) and spacious and light filled living areas. Thye superyacht’s lounge, bar, library and boardroom have screens which are able to be opened to create a generous central saloon.
Materials used in PANTHALASSA’s construction include teak, saddle leather panels silk rugs and gold and black marble tiles in the shower areas and granite table surfaces.
Natural materials blend the yacht’s interior spaces with her superstructure. Skylights also introduce natural light to below deck and as David Nelson from Design at Foster + Partners, states: “In designing the yacht, we were very keen to bring natural light into the saloon and to create interior spaces that offer the choice between privacy or a more social experience. Partitioned with electrically operated glazed screens, the saloon can either be divided or unified into one large function room, and the stairwell acts as a dramatic light reflector to enliven and illuminate the space.”
