Earlier this week saw the first of 3 Icon motor yachts out of the shipyard when the Icon 62 superyacht hit the water for preliminary sea trials in Holland. The next due yacht to be launched after the one pictured is called project Midlandia.

Icons Yachts has received strong interest since the company started around three years ago with yacht building facilities capable of building superyachts right up to 145 metres in length. Redman Whiteley Dixon (RDW) designed the Icon 62 superyacht, inside and out.
The CEO of Icon Yachts, Wim Koersvelt, previously operated a successful construction management company which has acted for owners requiring premium quality from the best shipbuilding yards worldwide.
The first Icon 62 yacht is booked to be on full display at the N04 north quay, stand number QS107, at the Monaco Yacht Show in September 2009. She is also now available for luxury yacht charters.
