Tansu Yachts Unveils Two New Superyachts.

Tansu yachts, the yacht building company of Istanbul revealed the details of its new explorer super yachts – a 35 metre Mothtership OneFifteen and her slightly larger sistership.

Both the yachts are being made according to the company’s unique design philosophy and style. Tansu Yachts prefer its yachts to have large open decks and amenities at the yacht’s exterior as most of its boats are made for Mediterranean use. The designing of the yacht has been done by Riza Tansu, the founder of the design studio, having vast knowledge and experience in designing yachts.

Both the yachts will be semi-custom yachts, which would be built by keeping the requirements of the customer in mind. The company’s team of naval architects provide design support for every aspect of the design and building process in order to achieve a high quality.

Though sister ships, the main difference between the two yachts would be their length. The longer one of the two has been extended by 1.20 meters to accommodate larger tenders. Moreover, they would also differ in jacuzzi and seating arrangements.

The mothership yacht series is built mainly with extra large spaces to suit its mediterranean use. This has not been done by reducing or squeezing the interior volume. Special design arrangements have been made to maintain the owner’s optimum need of volume. The yacht is also provided with a lazarette on the aft for storing diving and technical equipment. The arrangement of tenders are kept exposed especially because the yacht is mostly for use in the south of Turkey and the Greek Islands, where the tenders are frequently used for island hopping and relaxing in secluded bays.

The yacht will be built in accordance with RINA and MCA specifications. The hull of the yacht will also be fitted with zero speed stabilizers, including bow & stern thrusters for greater maneuverability.

The lower deck will consist of 4 rooms in total, with 2 VIP cabins and 2 guest cabins. The VIP cabin will have 2 queen beds while the 2 guest cabins will have 2 normal beds. All the four rooms will have wide attached bathrooms. The guest and crew area has been separated by stairways. The crew area would feature laundry, a crew mess and a cold room for storing food and drinks, and 6 beds for the crew.

The aft of the main deck carries exposed tenders when the yacht is underway. When the yacht is not moving , the tenders are unloaded and the space acts as a sunbathing area with freestanding chaise-lounges.The salon on the same deck features a formal dining space with open air dining unit. Moreover, the saloon also consists of 2 B&B Italian couches facing each other, a formal dining table and a wide screen TV. A separate entrance from the galley divides the crew quarters and guest spaces. The master’s cabin on the main deck also features a bathroom and a study space.

The upper deck of the yacht consists mainly of an entertainment zone. The deck features a big lounge unit, a bar and a small galley with accessories such as pizza oven, ice makers and other galley equipment. Towards the stern, there is captain’s cabin and wheel house. At the extreme aft there are extra storage spaces and another open area for partying and chilling with free standing furniture. The same space in the sister ship features a hot tub.

The Mothership OneFifteen, will have an overall length of 35.20 m with 7.4 m beam and 2.4 m draft. The propulsion system will comprise of 2 Caterpillar C32 / 1300 hp engines, which will facilitate the yacht with a a maximum speed of 17 and a cruising speed of 14 knots. The yacht will feature a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure, with RINA Charter Yachts – MCA Large Commercial Yacht Code (LY2) classification.

The Mothership OneTwenty, will have an overall length of 36.4 meter with a beam of 7.4 meter and a draft of 2.4 meter. The two Caterpillar C32 / 1300 hp engines will facilitate a maximum speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.
