St. Barths, March 26th, 2010 – With 39 entries, this year’s St. Barths Bucket, underway from March 25 – 28, is the largest group of large luxury sailing yacht entries ever assembled at a Bucket regatta. Once again, Carolyn Titus of Northrop and Johnson Yacht Charters in Newport, Rhode Island, home of the summer version of this regatta event, the Newport Bucket, is in attendance at this spectacular event.
At 184′, the two luxury sailing yachts built by Perini Navi, Riela and Salute are the Queenships of the event, followed closely behind by Adela, the Pendennis rebuild at 180′, in this luxury sailing yacht version of the “Clash of the Titans”. With the Skipper’s Meeting on Thursday, actual race days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with night time events planned each evening in Gustavia.
