Black Magic Composite Co. NZ Ltd, the Auckland-based designers and fabricators in advanced composites has announced the release of its new GP 700 passerelle series. Black Magic Composite is well-known for its custom built fabrications that are lighter and stronger than metal. First in the series of semi-custom products, the GP 700 passerelle from Black Magic is based on a particular one-off fabrication for a superyacht.

GP700 is 700 mm wide and has a modular construction and is based on a structure recently provided to Blohm + Voss. It is offered in lengths of 2 m to 9 m, in flat panel and single stage telescopic, fully supported or unsupported, vertical and horizontal slew and can be operated manually or fully automated.

Black Magic was founded in 1998 in Europe and then was moved to NZ in 2002. No matter what the cleint’s requirement is, Black Magic’s light weight low maintenance passerelle exactly fits the functional needs and aesthetics of the vessel. All passerelles come with lighting, stanchion and teak options. They all also come in standard with one handrail and a 2nd handrail is optional. Storage bags are available for detachable models, finished in high gloss carbon, Awl Grip, or a traditional teak veneer with an Awl Grip clear coat high gloss finish.
