Constructed by Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw, the Feadship Hurrican Run is a beautiful yacht that brings the shipyard to the fore again for its excellent performances. Hurricane Run is 53.5m long and was made at the yard in Aalsmeer, the Netherlands. It gives the guests the same feel of the previous Feadship (High Chaparral) launched in 2004 as well as depicts an exclusive monochrome interior from Terence Disdale Design. De Voogt Naval Architects have yet again contributed their talent for designing the exterior of the yacht.

Formerly, High Chaparral adopted a completely advanced technology. Hurrican Run on the other hand, constructed five years later and being four meters longer than High Chaparral, is a unique integration of recent technologies. The variation in the length and volume has definitely led to satisfying the demands of the owners by providing the bridge deck aft, which has been elongated to have more entertaining activities.

The interiors of Hurrican Run are all decorated in grey and white colors. Presenting a never-seen-before and highly individual monochromatic designs were the designer Terence Disdale and the owner’s wife. However, the original version for the modern yacht was supposed to include various extraordinary finishes with an overall grey theme. But the current marvelous version of Disdale consisted of powerful combinations of blacks and creams with extravagant open grain grey oak, heated limestone floors, woven wall panels, and lacquered ceiling panels. Besides this artifact, the interiors are all achromatically built.

The generous areas comprising of the main lounge and dining room have abundance of natural light and air. The large windows allow the guests to make the room an open-plan arrangement when two separate rooms are not demanded. It is a beautiful feeling to relax in the main lounge of the High Chaparral after a hectic day of cruising according to the owners who have sailed for four years on the yacht. The highly dramatic designs include the large sofas which lets one use the lighting system too.

At the beginning of the owners’ stateroom, there is a study area on the starboard side. It offers a complete office experience with all the amenities available including the wireless internet accessible with a laptop from virtually any corner of the yacht.

The master cabin is decorated in the colors of brown into the monochrome palette. The materials used possess a natural organic character. Moreover, the yacht offers a spectrum of luxuries like the Jakarta Sage leather on the bed to the rippled silver ceiling dome recess and the bleached horn desks, the amazing nautical triptych. In addition to this, there are two glorious traditional Gilbert bronze statues; polished furniture in three tone black lacquer, the hand carved wood and pewter skin on the doors.

The generous lounge and aft deck area on the bridge deck becomes the place of social gathering for everyone. With virtually grey shade present in every part of the yacht, the designers have used a limestone floor without any carpet while ensuring it doesn’t lead to any kind of noise transduction and vibration.

The doors can be opened completely, which is a traditional feature of the Feadship for the sliding doors. On extending this, the whole of lounge and deck area becomes one – giving lots of space for entertainment and fun. There is also a circular table in limestone which is made of silver-grey colored synthetic wicker which provides the dining facility for close to twelve people.

The sliding glass retracting doors keep the winds away from the sun deck which is fully equipped with multitude entertainment amenities. The whole of yacht is installed with a strong multi-zone sound and visual system along with interconnected matrices providing superlative performances from central A/V sources.

The eight guests onboard can sleep in four staterooms on the lower deck, two featuring twin beds, and the other two doubles. The Hurrican Run is a majestic experience with the sensual staircase and a stunning grey suede guest lobby which ends in a welter of shapes and curves. There is also a refrigerator and huge space available for stores behind the décor.

Like every Feadship engine room, in case of Hurrican Run too, there is twin Caterpillar 12 cylinder diesels, new generation C-9 generators, Reintjes reduction gears and Quantum stabilizers which strengthen the performance of the yacht. This highly advanced yacht is currently available for charters through Camper & Nicholsons International at $ 320,000 per week.
