As part of the Ferretti brand represented in the United States, Riva Yachts enjoys a well deserved reputation for quality and innovative superyacht design. A case in point is the recently redesigned version of Riva’s 68 Ego Super.

The Riva 68 Ego Open Style Superyacht originates from the same award winning base as the original Riva, together with two tones of sand and anthracite which is perfectly consistent with the motor yacht’s open and sporty personality.

The redesign of the Riva 68 has addressed changing habits amongst superyacht design where gradually more and more purchasers have come to appreciate the convenience of an enclosed main deck. This enables larger air conditioned space and yacht designers have also improved the flow between indoor and outdoor venues. At the forefront of this trend, Riva yachts have perfected the art of transforming spaces.

On the Riva 68 motor yacht, for instance, banquettes are ideally located on either side of a hi-low and foldable table on the aft main deck. These feature moveable backrests which allow guests to sit (or recline) facing either the sea astern or forward toward the entrance to the salon. This area thus becomes ideal for sunbathing or a casual outdoor lunch, protected by a bimini top that retracts into the hardtop.

Forward is another sunbathing area which is accessible via the yacht’s side decks. Also, a sliding sunroof above the salon helps flood the interior with sunlight and sea breezes on a beautiful day.

The Riva’s compact helm station is positioned on the starboard side, and the modern galley and a smaller dining area are located below. The accommodation cabins, which include a full-beam master aft, a forward VIP and a guest cabin with twin beds, are larger than their counterparts on the original model.

Twin MAN 1,550 hp diesel engines producing a top speed of 38 knots and a cruising speed of 34 knots on the Riva 68 yacht’s particularly dynamic hull shape.
