The Superyacht Design Summit will hosted by Superyacht Events, a part of the Yacht Report Group, at the Design Centre – Chelsea Harbour London on 22nd March 2010 for addressing few of the recent concerns relating to the present superyacht design. A host of eminent designers, suppliers and industry professionals will grace the occasion to give their suggestions and opinions. The show will begin with the dialogue on the issue of ‘Inspired Plagiarism versus Intellectual Property: Understanding the Ownership of Design’.
The same summit which was a success in 2009 has managed to gather the panels of experts for resolving crucial matters pertaining to the design industry this year too. The central point will be the legalities around the ideas and the industry such as intellectual property.
The debate will be conducted in the morning after a social breakfast with audiences amidst the presence of Mariacristina Rapisardi of Rapisardi Intellectual Property and the celebrated and widely popular designer Tim Heywood, who has contributed in making the famous superyachts like the 90m Ice, 71m Kogo and 110m Darius.
This Summit will be a joint effort with the illustrious ‘London Design Week’ scheduled for 21st to 26th March. Over and above the regular events, the summit will also represent some of the newest collections for more than 400 international brands.
