The participants at the extremely prestigious Abu Dhabi Yacht Show held on Yas Island on 25th-27th February 2010 also included the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC). The firm had various stunning marina projects to present, two of which are situated in its development across Abu Dhabi city (in the Eastern Mangroves and in Al Bateen Wharf). The presentation also detailed on to Saadiyat Island’s marinas – the Marina Village on Saadiyat Beach and Saadiyat Marina. The projects are expected to reinforce the natural island’s status as a jewel for yachters with Abu Dhabi in their sights.

The first marina project will consist of an 83-berth marina providing with supreme amenities for vessels between 12 and 30 meters. This will be completed on Saadiyat Island, the Marina Village situated in the Saadiyat Beach District. Full of dynamism, this place will be apt for the private gatherings. It will cover retail shops, restaurants and a community center, and a restricted number of apartments overlooking the marina. The launch of the Marina Village will be phased out during 2012.

According to Lee Tabler, TDIC’s Chief Executive Officer this scheme will focus on bringing in tourists to a location where people with different backgrounds will enjoy themselves. The marina project on Saadiyat Island will give the visitors top-notch services and a cosmopolitan, waterfront destination for vacations.
In addition to these, TDIC displays will also feature its Saadiyat Beach Villas and apartments which was the foundation stone for the initial stage of elegant Saadiyat Beach Residence community. This plan includes an assortment of three- to eight-bedroom luxury villas with some of the high profile components like their own gymnasium, elevator, swimming pool and movie theatre.

The residents will be able to shift in these places only in 2011. It will pay respect to the nation’s honorable legacy of dhow boating by softly echoing the affluent seafaring heritage of Abu Dhabi on a specific natural backdrop of the Arabian Gulf.
