Boat International Media and the Royal Institution of Naval Architects are delighted to present the Young Designer of the Year Award finalists.

The Young Designer of the Year Award, sponsored by Camper & Nicholsons International (CNI), is a worldwide initiative launched to encourage new talent into the yacht design industry.

An expert judging panel, comprised of some of the superyacht industry’s leading superyacht designers, was excited to see what the talented competitors envisage to be on the water and in the world’s most exclusive ports in the coming years and after three rounds of detailed discussion, selected the top five competition finalists and overall winner.

The winner will receive €5000 prize money and will be invited to accept the coveted Neptune trophy at the World Superyacht Awards gala evening in London on 22 May. All competition finalists will be flown to Germany to visit the Lürssen shipyard in Bremen for some first-hand industry experience.

THE FINALISTS ARE:

Rodrigo R. Berlim – Galaxy

Alastair Callender – Soliloquy

Sukjin Choi – RYU

Adam Voorhees – RA

Stephane Zache – Omen 100

Toby Walker, Sales Director at CNI and member of the judging panel, commented: “Camper & Nicholsons are, once again, delighted to be sponsoring the Young Designer of the Year Award. The future generation of designers is of huge importance to the industry and we fully support this.”

Details of the winning entry will be published in the July issue of Boat International, on sale 10 June. For full competition details and for further information on the Young Designer of the Year Award, please click here or contact:
