I am trying to find this unique steel-hulled motor yacht, named Balmoral in 2011, but launched as Idalia in 1934. She was designed by my Great Uncle, Sam Donnelly, Chief Shipyard Designer. Over 1,000 ships were launched during his career, including one called Titanic. Balmoral was last registered in Vanuatu, and operating out of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. My last knowledge of her in operation dates from May 2011, and then the trail goes cold. Her basic details- Length:33m,
Weight:150 tonnes, Hull:stainless steel, Engines: Twin diesel engines driving twin stainless steel drive shafts and propellors. IMO: 163209 Call sign: MBVQ. Any advice or assistance would be very much appreciated. Sincerely, Mark Doherty, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
