Sailing Yacht CINDERELLA IV, a 128’ (39m) sloop, has now been launched in Zwartsluis, Holland, by the Dutch shipbuilding company Vitters.
S/Y Cinderella IV is collaboration between naval architect Bill Tripp and yacht designers Donald Starkey and Jens Cornelsen, together with Green Marine which built the hull for Vitters as with S/Y Ghost. The result is a contemporary and powerful superyacht.
Whilst Vitters fitted out the complete yacht for launch, Green Marine manufactured the hull from pre-preg carbon sandwich. The Bill Tripp designed 39m superyacht was built at Green Marine’s Southampton factory in a custom mould using carbon fibre throughout.
CINDERELLA IV
The design for CINDERELLA IV is for a very modern superyacht that features a ‘new interpretation’ of a traditional ‘two house’ deck and superstructure layout. This modern interpretation of traditional deckhouses incorporates a strong emphasis on 360 degree views as well a sheltered areas for guests.
To enhance the enjoyment of life at anchor, ambitious sound levels have been set for this project and an overnight silent mode will be available thanks to a bank of batteries.
For the owner of S/Y CINDERELLA IV the sailing performance is the core of the yacht’s design. All efforts have been made to ensure a high performance level both into the wind and down wind.
Accordingly, the superyacht is fitted with a generous sail plan, a lifting keel, a light interior and a rational approach to weight control in systems design and construction.
