Vitters Sailing Yacht LADY B has been launched.

Vitters Shipyard creating a sailing yacht in Lady B that will combine exceptionally high performance levels with superlative comfort. This 44.7-metre striking sloop was designed by Dubois Naval Architects, which achieved an excellent blend of naval architecture and ergonomics in order to offer fast speeds, state-of-the-art technology and cutting edge styling.

Superyacht Lady B has been launched in 2010.
The sailing yaxcht’s slim profile features a single-level superstructure, which keeps weight low and reduces windage. She is being constructed in aluminium and will have a high aspect ratio rig with carbon mast and furling boom. Lady B is equipped with PBO standing rigging to enhance performance. Her compact lifting keel system generates a variable draught from a minimum depth of four metres to a maximum depth of six.

RhoadesYoung’s interior design provides for a clean and fresh ambiance, as an emphasis on open space and light generates a feeling of exceptional space below decks. This is most evident in the huge split-level upper and lower salons and dining area, where natural sunlight f loods through large windows sculpted into the upper salon sides. Oiled teak steps lead through wide sliding glass doors into an expansive cockpit area with a fixed bimini shade.Lady B features twin cockpits, allowing direct access to the upper salon through the main cockpit and private access from the aft cockpit to the owner’s area. The full beam owner’s stateroom aft comprises a generous split level cabin with lounging area and a large bathroom.

The adjacent owner’s study can be converted to a third guest cabin thanks
to the use of sliding glass walls. The two guest cabins can be used in twin or double configurations. Spacious crew quarters are located further for ward and feature a galley of commercial specifications, a comfortable crew mess and up to six berths. The interior layout and design demonstrate once again how Vitters takes fully into account the particular use, expectations and comfort requirements of owners.

Ghost, a 122 ft. ocean runner, is a very challenging, radical and different yacht designed by Luca Brenta & Co. Yacht Design. It is not something direct in line with the previous projects of the yard. Ghost is a lightweight high performance yacht with a silvergrey hull and superstructure, all within a stylish minimalist concept. This minimalist concept adds another dimension to the construction and the development of the various components of the yacht.

One of the many eye-catchers on Ghost is the extended skylight panel that covers practically the entire length of the superstructure. The cockpit is seamlessly connected to the coach roof geometry both in terms of outside space and interior volumes, with the continuity also being evident in the design and layout of the two adjacent areas. It was not the first time Vitters was working on a light weightcomposite hull but it was surely the most challenging project in all aspects. The perseverance of everybody involved to achieve the overall goal resulted eventually in this magnificent yacht.

The result is stunning. The yacht performs extremely well, she sails perfectly under all conditions and has proven to be very fast on the water. As people say “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, many people will have different ideas on the interior and exterior styling. It is new, it is fresh and has a lot of warmth in it. All aspects of modern comfort are covered and it is the true result of a passionate quest for the statement the owners wanted to make.
